The vast Wilkes Street Cemetery Complex is a testament to Alexandria’s rich history, encapsulating over 270 years of the city’s past. Encompassing 82 acres, the complex comprises thirteen distinct cemeteries that collectively house the remains of more than 35,000 individuals. Here, both illustrious citizens and ordinary inhabitants of Alexandria find their final resting place.
