President’s Day Wreath Laying Ceremony and Open House at the Old Presbyterian Meeting House

Everyone is welcome at 11:00 AM for the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the American Revolution, in the Old Presbyterian Meeting House churchyard burial ground, by the city’s George Washington Birthday Celebration Committee and Kate Waller Barrett Chapter, National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution.

From 10:00 AM-3:00 PM, the Meeting House will open for FREE tours, with tours given by Don Dahmann, Historian and Archivist for the Old Presbyterian Meeting House.

David Heiby, a public historian and expert on Alexandria’s cemeteries, will conduct tours of the historic 18th-century burial ground from after the wreath-laying ceremony until 3:00 p.m.

All events are free of charge.
